The judicial system in Japan
The highest court in Japan is the Supreme Court, which in addition to the consideration of civil and criminal adequately cases shall decide on the constitutionality of any laws and other governmental enactments. The Supreme Court consists of fifteen judges - the chief judge, appointed by the Emperor on the proposal of the Cabinet and ordinary judges, appointed adequately by the government.
Primary courts consider offenses for which penalties adequately are provided as an alternative sentence, such as driving while intoxicated. Also Primary courts hear cases related to the acquisition of another property (theft), which provides for imprisonment of up to three years.
The only body vested in Japan right criminal cases, is the prosecutor's office. Also a function of the prosecutor's adequately office is to guide and supervise the work of the police investigation into the most high-profile cases, the charges in court, overseeing the execution of the sentence.
